STS Foundation is based in Scottsdale, Arizona, and has regional and state offices across the United States. STS Foundation was established in 1986. STSF sponsors an international exchange program for high school students, on a non-immigrant J-1 visa, between the ages of 15-18. This gives the students an opportunity to live with an American family for an academic year or semester while attending the local high school.

Host Families
What could be more exciting and rewarding than being able to expand your family by hosting a foreign exchange student for one semester or full school year? You can request boy or girl, music lover or athlete, from Europe or from Asia, from South America or Australia and STS Foundation will try to make it happen for you.

What does hosting an STS student mean?
Hosting is opening your heart and home to a high school student from another country. You are expected to provide the same loving/caring environment for them as you would your own family members.

Being an Area Rep is all about being exposed to and learning about foreign cultures in a way that creates life long friendships with young people from all over the world. STS Foundation is pleased to offer American High School Students ages 15-18, the opportunity to live and study overseas. By embracing an opportunity to live and study abroad, you will not only acquire important language skills, but gain a new perspective on America's role in the global community. Studying abroad offers you a tremendous opportunity to meet new friends and experience life from a whole new perspective!
