While working with a positive professional team
You will help us foster and grow our cultural exchange program in your community. You will have the opportunity to build lifelong friendships around the world while working with students, high schools, and families in your local area. Your primary mission will be to recruit and support volunteer host families who are willing to open their homes and hearts to host an exchange student. You will be provided guidance, inspiration, and the resources to successfully place exchange students with qualified host families and high schools in your community and neighboring communities.
What is a Local Coordinator?
A flexible voluntary role that adjusts to your schedule with the support of a dedicated national team.

You will become a part of a leading international organization that works to create the best experience for every student, host family, and school.
Build strong relationships
You’ll have the satisfaction of creating long-term value for the STS Foundation program participants.

You will learn about cultures from around the world and have access to an annual international incentive trip with other STS Foundation team members.
Rewards & Incentives
Get rewarded for each placement your make and receive training from a team of experts to develop invaluable skills.
Monetary Reward
Receive $1,050 for each student you place and support during their exchange year. The more students you place, the more you are rewarded!
Travel
Earn your spot to join our annual incentive trips when you place 4 or more exchange students in your local community.
Skill Development
Make your resume stand out by developing strong personal and professional skills such as communication, leadership, and counseling.
Training & Support
Receive ongoing support from the STS Foundation leadership team and gain access to resources and training to help you grow and be successful in your role as a Local Coordinator.
